News: A NEW YEAR MESSANGE FROM THE RDP PRESIDENT
Published: Jan 11, 2010 - 11:58 AM
30th December 2009
I take this opportunity of the holiday season to wish you all, on behalf of the RDP leadership, a happy and prosperous New Year. May the year 2010 be filled with success and divine health for all of us.
Furthermore, I would like to thank you all for the hard work commitment and dedication you have demonstrated throughout 2009 and particularly during the national assembly and presidential election end of whose ramification we are yet to see. It has been a proud source of inspiration and great encouragement to see you remaining steadfast in the face of organized political intimidation, harassment, physical assault and damaging of our properties, by our adversaries, the cadres of the RDP, continue to be committed and dedicated to our mission of rescuing the Namibian people from the bondage of poverty and destitution as perpetrated by the SWAPO led government. It is our duty to ensure that Namibia puts to an end the unabating stealing and misuse of the national resources for self-enrichment, such as, the grabbing by the senior SWAPO officials of foreign bursaries intended for the children of the poor is put to a definite end.
We must know that history has proved that the road to effect political change for a better life has never been an easy one. It is, therefore, not surprising that as agents of political change we are subjected to political violence intended to force us to retreat and thereby betray the trust and confidence the Namibian people have placed on us. It is thus against this background that the leadership of RDP appeals to you all to remain committed and focused until the corrupt regime is replaced by a caring and democratic government.
Let the year 2010 be a year of the fulfillment of our dreams and strategies aimed at an early attainment of our goal and may God bless you all as we strive for a just, peaceful and prosperous Namibia.
